Chicken and Dumpling Soup

So Yummy!!! Although I think I messed up a little on the dumplings and put too much parmesan in them. Jim loved them, they were a little too salty for me. Nicholas devoured the broth, which is typically the only part of the soup he'll actually eat.
This made the whole house smell delicious. Have some leftover for lunches this week. I love soup on a cold winter night.

yay!!! im glad you tried it and Im glad you liked it!!! I might have messed up in the salt measurements in the dumplings so Im sorry!!! But i love parmesean so It might have been too much for you!! Did you use the chicken carcas and everything!!?! and even the leaks and portabellos?

I did use the chicken carcass and leeks. No one here like mushrooms so I left out the portabellas. I made a few other small changes; we don't eat anything pork like the ham packet (even though it is just seasoning) so I replaced it with my own homemade broth powder.
ReplyDeleteFor the dumplings...I probably measured wrong. I had two dogs barking, one little boy acting like a dog and "jumping" on me. So the measurements didn't have 100% of my attention...LOL! Jim loved them though.
